Kasia Iwan, MD
Dr. Kasia Iwan is a dual board-certified physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a subspecialty in Interventional Pain Management. She has a clinical focus in treating spine and joint diagnoses. After obtaining her Bachelor of Cell Biology and Genetics degree at the University of British Columbia, Dr. Iwan received her MD degree from the Jagiellonian University Medical College. She then completed a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency followed by a Pain Medicine fellowship at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY.
Dr. Iwan has practiced in the field of spine and joint care since 2018. Dr. Iwan uses a comprehensive approach to patient care by integrating innovative minimally invasive procedures, therapies, and case management. She is also an expert in Orthobiologic (regenerative) Medicine. As a physician she works to improve pain, but also quality of life. She has years of experience treating individuals who have sustained work injuries, sports injuries, and car accidents. Dr. Iwan has a unique personal background having been raised in Poland and Vancouver, British Columbia. Throughout her training and travels she was drawn back to the Pacific Northwest/Portland. She moved to the area with her husband and daughter. When she is not spending time with her family, she enjoys surfing, hiking, photography and cooking delicious meals
